Arizona Association of Area Agencies on Aging – A statewide advocacy network that serves as a planning and contracting agency for older adult services and responds to the needs of Americans age 60 and older, adults living with disabilities, and caregivers.
Arizona Association of Providers for People with Disabilities – AAPPD is a non-profit, social welfare organization and statewide consortium of providers licensed to deliver services to individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. AAPPD provides advocacy, counsel, and other services to member organizations that share a common dedication to the needs of individuals and families with disabilities.
Arizona Autism Coalition – The Arizona Autism Coalition is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families in Arizona by sharing outreach, resources, referrals, and events. The Coalition also encourages reform through state-wide collaboration and advocacy.
Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System – AHCCCS is Arizona’s Medicaid program, a federal health care program for individuals and families who qualify based on income level. Information and online applications are available for medical assistance, nutrition assistance, cash assistance, and Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS), a program for individuals who are 65 or older, blind, or disabled and need ongoing services at a nursing facility level of care.
Raising Special Kids – Raising Special Kids is a non-profit organization that provides support and information for parents of children with a full range of disabilities and special health care needs. Programs are offered at no cost to families and are available in English and Spanish.
Task Force Against Senior Abuse (TASA) – This advisory board coordinated by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office works to enhance the safety and welfare of Arizona senior citizens. The Task Force advises the Attorney General and members in matters related to senior abuse and exploitation, encourages community alliances, and works to improve advocacy and legislation that protects seniors.
Alzheimer’s Association – A national network of chapters, it is the largest national voluntary health organization committed to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s and helping those affected by the condition.
Home Care Association of America (formerly NPDA) – The Home Care Association of America (formerly NPDA) is a non-profit national voice for organizations that provide private duty home care services and an advocate for services which benefit the consumers for whom they care: seniors, children, persons with disabilities, those with chronic health conditions and anyone whose quality of life can be improved by having a care worker help in their home.
National Association for Home Care – NAHC is the nation’s largest trade association representing the interests and concerns of home care agencies, hospices, home care aide organizations, and medical equipment suppliers. National Military Family Association’s Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) – The National Military Family Association provides a wide range of resources for families supporting a child with disabilities.
